All Nuvair breathing air compressors are shipped with Nuvair premium synthetic food grade breathing air compressor oil. Nuvair offers our complete oil line in quart, gallon and 5 gallon quantities. We use Nuvair 455 in breathing air reciprocating compressors and Nuvair 546 oil in rotary screw compressors.
When using a Nuvair Nitrox Membrane System it is essential to use our food grade formula oil.
If you have and industrial or paintball compressor we offer Nuvair 751 oil.
Nuvair™ 455 is an ISO 100 USDA H1 premium quality oil designed for use in high pressure and low pressure breathing air systems for the diving industry. The unique additive system, never before used in this application, is best possible for preventing wear and carbon residue buildup.
Nuvair™ 455 is suitable for use in reciprocating compressors operating on up to 40% oxygen enriched air. However, as the oxygen content increases, the oil life will decrease.The food grade synthetic has superior anti-oxidizing properties.

Nuvair™ 546 is designed for 2,000 hours of use in rotary screw compressors where a food grade lubricant is needed. USDA H-1 rated Nuvair™ 546 meets all requirements under FDA Regulation 21 CFR 172.878 and 178.3570.

Nuvair™ 751 is a Diester/Organice compound blend, which is compatible with most currently used compressor components including seals, paints and plastics. However, some materials are not recommended for use with diester oils. Please contact Nuvair for further information. Certain conditions require accelerated oil changes, as there are many factors, including heat and oxidation that cause oil degradation. Call for our recommendation.
